Our Mission

first fruits ministries, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, was formed to provide work for women struggling with homelessness, addictions, poverty and abuse. Our goal is to give a helping hand to women on the road to recovery, to give them new life and new purpose by teaching them to produce quality hand-made products, gift baskets and specialty food items.

To that end, we operate a small batch bakery that produces gourmet teacakes that we sell at local Farmers Markets and online during the Holiday Season. We also assemble beautiful baskets year-round, with particular emphasis on our Christmas selections.

Last but not least, we’ve also launched a new venture, an online commerce business, Best Bargain Deals Now!, our new eBay Store! We’re teaching computer skills, organization, inventory control, inspecting, shipping and customer relations.

In keeping with our focus on God’s restorative nature of turning ashes to beauty, we are not only selling overstock and returned new items at well below retail prices, but we’re selling perfectly good discarded items. God has provided us a source for shelf pulled, returned or damaged Health & Beauty products from major drug and big box stores that we’re selling at HUGE discounts, well below retail and even wholesale prices. After each item is carefully inspected and outer packaging repaired, we’re posting it on our store, Best Bargain Deals Now! We’re also featuring new and used electronics in our store, so if you’d like to donate your old computer, keyboard, monitor, phones, etc., we’d be delighted to take them off your hands!

Please support our ministry by either buying some of our products or by giving a tax deductible donation to our ministry to help struggling women get back on their feet. Remember your Purchase has a Mighty Purpose!

We have much to do to provide help and hope to hurting women. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:35-38. Be a worker!
